Another unincorporated community in Grant County, Hamilton is located on Route 402, between Monument and Long Creek. The community was named not for the first United States Treasure Secretary, Alexander Hamilton, but instead for the first settler in the area. By 1993, the town dwindled to only 3 houses and no businesses.
